Environmental Protection

According to the British Independent newspaper, recently, the famous British designers and scientists worked together to create a plastic garment that will dissolve in water.

The inventor's original intention is to make people pay more attention to the environment and make better use of clothing to protect the environment.

This dress is the result of the "beautiful new world" project.

The "beautiful new world" project was completed by British designer, Professor Helen Story of the London Fashion Institute and Professor Tony Ryan of the interactive research center of University of Sheffield, UK. They tried to find a way to solve the pollution and waste caused by the increasing number of discarded clothes being sent to the garbage.

Si Daorui said: "we are considering integrating different ways to solve global problems."

Last month, the statistics released by the UK Special Environment Committee showed that the ratio of textile waste has increased from 7% to 30% in 5 years.

The plastic material made by the team is just like the capsule, which melts when it meets water.

This plastic is made from biodegradable polyvinyl alcohol. By using different weight dyes, when the plastic enters the water, the chemist changes the movement and dissolves the clothes in water.

In collaboration with a famous photographer, the photo of the costumes in famous fashion magazines attracted people's attention.

Hannah Terry, fashion editor of Artist magazine, said: "fashion can surpass the border, it can create momentum and cause concern."

Many scientists believe that this exhibition is attracting more attention to this kind of research and is pleased that previous studies are often unknown.

"This unique way is very helpful in promoting the value of science," said Mark Moloney, an expert in organic chemistry at St. Peter's college, University of Cambridge.

The "beautiful new world" team is embarking on another project, designing "clothes for contact reaction". They expect to use the surface of clothing to control pollutants, and finally neutralize them by washing.

Si Daorui said, "clothes have a large surface area, which can be used to purify the air."

Such cooperation may open a new era of cooperation between science and fashion.

The London Fashion Institute has recently set up a fashion science research center, offering a new curriculum for fashion and environment in the master of Arts.

Professor Joseph storey added that 10 years ago, when he began to combine fashion and technology, fashion people would say, "if clothes can not be bought at the store in the store, we are not interested."

Scientists will say, "this is just a dress. Why should we pay attention to it?"

Now the situation has changed.
