Footwear Standardization Technology Committee Leather Shoes Sub Committee Was Established
In March 25th, with the approval of the National Standardization Management Committee, the technical committee of leather shoes sub committee of the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee was established in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. This is the first National Standardization Technical Committee settled in Wenzhou.
The leather shoes sub committee of the national footwear committee is composed of experts from all over the country, including leather shoes production, distribution enterprises, research institutes, testing institutions, trade associations, certification bodies and other relevant units. The Secretariat is located in Wenzhou Quality Inspection Institute. The main task is to formulate, revise and approve the technical standards of leather shoes industry and other technical work related to the formulation of standards and implementation standards, so as to enhance the standardization level of leather shoes industry in China.
Leather shoes are one of the pillar industries in Wenzhou. According to statistics, there are nearly 3000 manufacturing enterprises in Wenzhou's leather shoes industry, with annual sales of about 38 billion 920 million yuan and export volume of 9 billion 690 million yuan. In recent years, the Wenzhou quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, in implementing the strategy of standardization, focuses on the construction of the standardization organization of the leather shoes industry. It has organized the Wenzhou Quality Inspection Institute and the national footwear inspection center to test the footwear industry products according to the foreign standards, and has plated more than 40 foreign standards, providing favorable conditions for the smooth export of our leather shoes enterprises, and laying a solid technical foundation for the establishment of the Committee.
