Pajamas New Zealand Label Standard

The standard of pajamas labels for children exported to New Zealand will be higher and higher.

According to the New Zealand consumer safety department, from August this year, New Zealand will distinguish the pajamas from different colors, such as white, orange and red, by classification and fire risk.

The new label law was officially implemented on April 1, 2009.

According to the new label, the white "low fire danger" label is only applicable to clothing with low fire danger. Most of the ordinary high risk material cotton and linen pajamas children's pajamas will carry an orange label which says "warning: choose a suitable non heating or flame-retardant sleeper to reduce fire hazards". The striking red color "warning: high fire danger and away from fire" label is still applicable to children's pajamas made of high fire danger fabrics.

The New Zealand pajamas label is more detailed and rigorous than previous standards, and how to deal with it urgently needs to be discussed.

In recent years, new style, safe and comfortable children's pajamas are increasingly favored by consumers, especially the pajamas made of fireproof fabrics, which become essential products for children in foreign countries.

In view of the increasing trend of technical trade measures for children's pajamas, the inspection and quarantine department suggests that enterprises should continuously strengthen their own production technology standards, guarantee the safety of raw materials, actively use flame retardants, enhance the technological process and enhance the competitiveness of products in the international market.

In addition, attention should be paid to the label identification of children's pajamas in order to meet the requirements of importing countries.
