The Wenchuan earthquake caused 10000 pigs to be damaged, accounting for about 10% of the pig output in Sichuan. Yesterday, the Hubei animal husbandry and Veterinary Bureau said that Hubei pig market will not be affected temporarily, will continue to fight for the first delivery area of pig futures.
Chen Hongsong, deputy director of the animal husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of Hubei Province, said that every year in Guangdong, tens of thousands of pigs were pferred to Guangdong and other places, and pferred to the province from Sichuan.
At present, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan and other provinces are fighting for the first delivery place of pig futures, Chen said that the earthquake did not affect the construction of Sichuan delivery land.
