The Pakistan Textile Mills Association Requires The Import Of Polyester Staple Fibres Into Zero Tariff.
In a statement, the Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) asked the government to allow zero duty to import raw polyester staple fibers.
APTMA said that the government has allowed zero tariff to import polyester staple blended yarn, but the import of polyester staple yarn is subject to a 4.5% tariff.
Such tariffs are very abnormal, resulting in difficulties in industrial production and should be abolished immediately.
The association called on the government to dissolve the serious crisis and rationalize the tariff of PSF.
