It is necessary to assume the social responsibility of low carbon and environmental protection, and to occupy a place in the industry. How should shoes enterprises start from "feet"?


First of all, in the production process, shoe manufacturers should try to use environmentally friendly materials.

In most of the shoes produced in our country, most of the traditional oil-based adhesives are used, and the adhesives used are basically solvent type, which contains more than 80% solvent. Therefore, a large number of organic solvents are released into the atmosphere every year in China's footwear industry.

These organic solvents enter the atmosphere and then are photooxidized to form a large amount of photochemical smog and acid rain, which seriously pollute our environment.

At the same time, the solvent of the adhesive can not be recycled in the process of using, which will cause huge waste of resources.

Some illegal manufacturers use the toxic benzene, halogenated hydrocarbon and other solvents to produce shoe adhesives, causing serious damage to the health of industrial workers.

The benzene poisoning incident of shoe factory workers in some areas has attracted the attention of the government departments at all levels and the widespread concern of the people, which has made a wake-up call for the footwear industry.

The emergence of water-based adhesives seems to solve the worries of shoe companies.

The so-called water-borne adhesive is the waterborne adhesive, which is made of water based solvent or dispersant. Water-based adhesive has no solvent odour, no poison, no pollution, convenient operation, easy to clean residual glue, high solid content, safe and convenient storage and pportation.

Secondly, shoe enterprises should adhere to the road of technological innovation, rely on technological progress to enhance competitiveness, and make products comfortable, durable, fashionable, environmentally friendly, and full of beautiful eyeballs to bombard consumption, leading to industrial development.

Because of the development and changes of the footwear market, the vast majority of shoe enterprises have gradually developed into brand operated enterprises from simple processing and OEM, and this change is also mostly dependent on the shoe traders taking advantage of the situation, recognizing the situation and having keen market insight.

However, industry competition is brutal. The market not only requires footwear manufacturers to be very good at discovering and creating business opportunities, but also requires products to meet market demands. Whether products can compete in one industry to win depends on quality and technological innovation.

For example, in order to advocate environmental awareness, Adidas has introduced some environmental friendly sports shoes specially, which are mainly made of natural organic materials, which can be fully recycled and minimize environmental pollution.

Finally, in the aspect of marketing, shoe enterprises should work hard to improve product quality and added value, strive to realize product diversification and market diversification, and change from "win by quantity" to "win by quality". This new packaging design uses 65% less paperboard than traditional packaging, and takes up less space and no need to use plastic bags to pack shoeboxes. It combines the design of handbags.

This will save 8500 tonnes of waste paper for Puma, equivalent to 1400 adult elephants.

Puma also said that the change means less water and energy consumption in the production process and pportation, because the weight of the new packaging is lighter than that of the old one.


If shoe enterprises want to develop in the long run and base themselves at home and abroad, they must take full account of their social responsibilities, take "environmental protection" as their responsibility, and do not harm consumers and the environment due to temporary interests. Colleagues should devote themselves to R & D and innovation mechanisms, improve their R & D capability and product technology content, and speak with excellent quality, so as to achieve "environmental protection" and "technology".
