Tunisia Textile Industry Is Recovering

The Technology Center released the latest statistics report 12. In the first 7 months of this year, exports of textiles and garments in Tunisia increased by 8.3% and exports increased by 5.6%, indicating that Tunisia's textile and clothing industry has gone out of the shadow of the international financial crisis and shows strong recovery momentum.

The most robust growth momentum was maintained. In July, the volume of exports increased by 14.7% and exports increased by 10.3%.

Followed by a series of ready-made garments, the number of exports increased by 7.5%, and the volume of exports increased by 8.7%.

The output value accounts for about 37% of the total industrial output of the country, and exports account for about 36% of the total industrial products exported. The employment accounts for about 40% of the total number of industrial employees in the country.

Affected by the international financial crisis, Tunisia's textile and clothing exports decreased by 8.8% in 2009, and imports dropped by 8.3%.
