Fibre

For manufacturing compliance market Demand can prove its sustainable development of bamboo fiber clothing and home fashion textiles. Swiss Litrax company has successfully developed new bamboo fibers. The company's project is taken from bamboo and used in textile industry. Its new bright point is that it uses environment-friendly enzyme softening technology to extract fibers from bamboo stems directly, making it a high fashion. fibre It is comparable to cashmere and linen comfort and silky smoothness and softness of silk.

When bamboo fibers came into our lives for the first time more than ten years ago as textiles, people began to extract them. Viscose As a kind of environment-friendly product and biodegradable material, it is taken from bamboo plants and grows rapidly without pesticides and other chemicals, fertilizers and irrigation without causing soil erosion. And bamboo plants absorb more carbon dioxide than other plants. However, people use corrosive chemicals in the production of bamboo fibers, and such chemicals not only harm workers' health, but also pollute the environment if manufacturers do not control well. At the time, many enterprises announced that bamboo fiber had antibacterial properties, but this characteristic was not really confirmed, and its biodegradability was also questioned. The reason is that this so-called natural fiber can not be decomposed into soil in a certain period of time, so it still brings impact to the environment.

To this end, the Swiss Confederation Business Council has asked for the first time that manufacturers of bamboo fiber products should make sure that they are truly antibacterial and degradable. Therefore, since 2005, the Swiss LItrax company has begun to study this requirement in depth. In the first two years, the situation was quite frustrating, because the research that invested heavily in it was fruitless, and they got nothing. Then, in order to get data on processing bamboo fibers, they compared them with linen and hemp fibers one by one. After that, they discovered that soaking can make them soft like linen, which is due to mildew. 4 years later, the company developed several kinds of bamboo staple fibers that could be used for spinning, then developed clear and transparent long fibers and could be used for ring spinning, with a length of 52mm. In this way, they were able to spin out very fine fiber yarns, and eventually the natural length was between 70mm~150mm. And after standardized tests, they found that the mechanical strength of bamboo fibers was greater than that made of bamboo fiber glue. Therefore, it can be concluded that their achievements are quite different from those developed in the past. Because in the past, the development of basic chemicals must be used before the cellular structure of fibers could be squeezed. In fact, bamboo fibers are no longer the real natural fibers.

The real natural bamboo fiber should have an irregular amount of raw fiber in its thickness. And this kind of natural bamboo fiber is not soft as cashmere.

But over the past few years, Swiss Litrax has found that the thickness of the natural bamboo fiber is variable through fiber map. That is, other processing methods can make it good ventilation, humidity control, high water absorption and absorption of odour. It is cool and cool in summer, but it can keep warm in cold winter and blend with Merino wool fiber, but it does not have antibacterial function. This is their latest findings and research results.
