In recent years, our country

Clothing exports are constantly being subjected to policy or technical barriers to trade in different countries and economies, which not only have a bad effect on the export of our spinning and clothing products, but also directly affect the international image of our spinning and clothing products.

According to the latest figures released by the European Commission's non food quick warning system (RAPEX), 230 textiles and clothing products have been notified in China since the beginning of this year, an increase of 45.56% over the previous year, which is nearly 10 times higher than in 2008.

European Commission

The non food quick warning system (RAPEX) announced 1457 serious recall announces of dangerous consumer goods, an increase of 14.27% over the same period.

A total of 743 products (excluding Taiwan and Hongkong) were exported to China, representing an increase of 11.51% over the same period last year.

Among them, 230 reports on textiles and clothing products in China, an increase of 45.56% over the previous year, is nearly 10 times higher than in 2008, and the surge is quite obvious.

Textile and garment products account for 30.96% of the total number of products exported to China, up 10 percentage points over the same period last year.

Another feature of the EU RAPEX announcement this year is that our main competitors are also facing an upward trend in the scramble for major EU markets.

Children's wear

Become a major disaster area

The EU has higher requirements for the protection of children's safety, especially children's clothing and toys.

All along, children's clothing, including some sportswear and costumes, is the main product recalled by the European Union RAPEX in China.

Up to now, children's clothing products in China have been recalled by RAPEX for 180 times, accounting for 78.26% of the total number of textile products, and 30 percentage points higher than the same period last year. The growth trend of children's clothing products is quite obvious.

The main reason for the announcement is similar to that of previous years. It still does not meet the European standard EN 14682, such as the risk of suffocation and injury.

Since this year, 168 items have been recalled for failing to meet the EN14682 standard, accounting for 93.33% of the total recall of children's clothing.

(the European Union establishes the standard EN 14682-2007, which stipulates the safety requirements for cords or ropes for children under 14 years of age, including ropes, chains, ribbons, strings and plastic ropes for textile or non-woven materials.

)

A total of 6 recalled items were caused by swallowing suffocation or injury caused by easy separation or insecurity of clothing accessories, which was contrary to the European standard EN71, accounting for 3.33% of the total.

Like mechanical safety, Europe has relatively perfect standards and regulations in terms of chemical safety.

6 of the total recall cases (involving azo dyes, two phthalate DEHP, toxic aromatic amines) and 6 of them were breached by REACH regulations, accounting for 3.33% of the total.

All of these products were ordered to take corrective actions except for some of the children's garments whose length of rope was over standard. Other kinds of products had withdrawn from the market voluntarily or passively, recalled the products already sold, and the products that had not yet entered the EU market were directly refused to be imported by the customs.

From the member states of the recall of children's wear, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Hungary and Greece were the main sponsors. The four countries launched 153, accounting for 85% of the total number of children's wear.

Compared with other EU Member States, the growth of Cyprus and Hungary has been very fierce this year.
