Textile Clothing Exports Peak Price Rise

Statistics of the group (Vinatext), though not the peak season of traditional exports, Vietnam's textile and garment exports still exported 6 billion 160 million US dollars in the first half of 2011, an increase of 30% over the same period in 2010, with an average export of US $1 billion per month (a monthly export of 500 million ~8 billion US dollars in the same period of 2010), of which 1 billion 150 million US dollars were exported in June (a 11% increase over May).


The development niche of the period includes the rise of export unit price, the increase of exports to important markets such as the United States, the European Union and Japan, and the expansion of other export markets.

With this development momentum, the peak of export will begin in July, and exports will continue to be optimistic in the second half of the year. It is expected that the export target of 130~135 billion will be achieved in the whole year.


According to Vietnam textile and Garment Association (Vitas), Vietnam is engraved as the second textile of the United States.

In the future, after signing the TPP (Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement) agreement between Vietnam and the United States, the operation of the US market will become more successful.


However, although exports were bright in the first half of the year, FOB exports increased by 15% over the same period in 2010, and the price of OEM increased by 5%~10%.

The purchase price increased by 50%, cotton yarn increased by 235%, industrial electricity charges rose 0.38~1.33%, wages increased by 20% (workers' wages per month were 3 million ~350 million, and large enterprises had 4 million 500 thousand ~550 per month per person.

Note: in June 30, 2011, 1 US dollars to 20 thousand and 550 shields, Vietnam's actual operating profit shrank from the previous stage, and worried that the second half of the year would be over every case.
