Vietnam'S "Nike Manufacturing" Exports Totaled More Than US $200 Million.

Bui QuangVinh, Minister of investment, said that Vietnam's position is very important in the supply market of Nike.


According to official statistics of Nike, the group has 40 shoe factories in Vietnam, employing 300 thousand workers, and exporting shoes products (Nike and Converse brands) to 158 million pairs each year.


Vietnam exports 50% of its footwear products from Nike, which is manufactured annually by Nike.

The total amount exceeds 200 million dollars.


Athanasakos said that labor price advantage is an important reason for Nike to choose Vietnam as the main source of procurement.


He also said that Nike group will strive to increase the proportion of local raw materials procurement in Vietnam, so as to reduce the cost of products.
