SAIC Takes Measures To Facilitate Registration Of Trademarks

SAIC held a press conference at the China Trademark building to introduce the background, past and highlights of the SAIC's opinions on vigorously promoting the reform of trademark registration facilitation.

The "opinions" clarified the overall thinking and key reform measures to facilitate the reform of trademark registration facilitation, which will have a positive and far-reaching impact on promoting public entrepreneurship, innovation and optimizing the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

However, the contradiction between the sharp increase of applications and the lack of censorship is becoming increasingly acute. The problem of the low level of informatization of trademark censorship system, the single channel of trademark application and the unsmooth service channels have become increasingly prominent.

To solve the above problems, the SAIC has listened to the opinions of local authorities, enterprises and experts, targeted research and formulation of reform measures, striving to respond to social concerns, provide quality services and stimulate market vitality.

In July 14th, the General Administration issued the "opinions".

In order to solve the problems of trademark registration and management and to facilitate the registration of trademarks, the "opinions" should take the broadening of trademark application channels.

We should optimize the process, improve the Trademark Review Mechanism and strengthen the supervision of trademark credit, so as to further facilitate the applicant to apply for registered trademarks and constantly improve the level of public service of trademarks.

The opinion is divided into 6 parts, and 22 reform measures are put forward from 5 aspects.

In line with the principles of reform, innovation, decentralization, decentralization, and optimization of services, the opinions focus on 5 urgent issues.

Measures.

The first is to change the single channel for accepting trademark application by the trademark registration hall of the Trademark Office, and increase the application for trademark registration by the entrusting place, so as to facilitate the trademark applicant to handle trademark business nearby and save costs.

The two is to change the situation that the inspection and cooperation center of Beijing is undertaking some trademark registration review tasks. It plans to set up a trademark inspection and cooperation center outside Beijing, and accept the Trademark Office's entrustment, share part of the trademark registration review tasks, and shorten the trademark review cycle as far as possible.

The three is to change the mode of opening online applications only to trademark agencies, expand the scope of online applications to all applicants, and extend online application projects from the current application for trademark registration applications to trademark applications such as renewal, pfer, cancellation and alteration of trademarks.

Four, we should shorten the time for issuing the notice of acceptance of trademark registration application, simplify some application materials and procedures for trademark registration, clean up the trademark book style and streamline the trademark issuance, and open up a fast examination channel for the follow-up business of registered trademarks.

The five is to change the current way of collecting paper applications, and gradually promote the whole process of trademark registration electronization.
