Last year, Amazon's clothing sales totaled $16 billion 300 million, which was higher than the total sales of Messi, Nordstrom, Kohl 's, Gap and LBrands.

The layout should first be traced back to 10 years ago to purchase the clothing website Shop Bop. After 3 years, Amazon bought the footwear business Zappos at the price of 850 million US dollars.

Over the past few years, Amazon has increased its investment in fashion, launched its own brand clothing, and sponsored the New York men's fashion week, employing executives from luxury fashion companies, such as Julie Gilhartogue, fashion director of Barnes boutique in New York, and Caroline Palmer, editor in chief of Vogue magazine.

Amazon also launched Zac Posen and Stuart Weitzman brands for high-end fashion.

This has changed the image of Amazon selling only cheap products.

Morgan Stanley analysts estimate that Amazon's clothing sales increased by $1 billion 100 million in the previous quarter, while total sales of Messi, Nordstrom, Sears, Kohl, s, JCPenney and Dillard totaled $225 million.
