Brazil'S Cotton Export In 2020 / 21
According to foreign news on May 17, Brazil is the world's second largest cotton exporter, and its export volume in 2020 / 21 may reach a record 2.3 million tons.
According to the Brazilian national cotton Exporters Association (anea), in the first three months of 2021, exports reached 731400 tons, the best record in history. If cotton exports continue to grow at this rate, there may be a shortage of cotton in Brazil's domestic market.
According to the Brazilian cotton producers association, due to the lower cotton yield last year, the planting area decreased by 17%, resulting in a 20% decrease in crops compared with last year. In the first half of June, the Brazilian state of Bahia will begin harvesting cotton.
